Will is an associate in our Antitrust and Competition practice based in our Brussels office. Will advises on all aspects of competition law including merger control, antitrust investigations and competition compliance. He is also experienced in issues concerning public funding and state aid.

Will regularly advises on the notification of cross-border M&A transactions to competition authorities in the EU, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia. He has also represented clients in relation to major international cartel investigations including appeals before the European Courts.

Will has experience in a wide range of sectors including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy, mining and metals, telecommunications and IT.

Representative Experience

• Representing clients in relation to global cartel investigations before the European Commission and in appeals before the European Courts.
• Advising on the EU and worldwide merger notification of a multi-billion dollar merger in the chemicals sector.
• Representing a Ukrainian conglomerate in the merger control notification of acquisitions across Europe and the United States including filings in the EU, China, CIS and US.
• Assisting corporate clients with UK merger control inquiries before the Office of Fair Trading and Competition Commission including a complex Phase II inquiry.
• Counselling a third party intervening in the European Commission’s investigation into State aid to a global PC manufacturer.
• Advising an Italian food manufacturer on IP/unfair competition litigation in the United States and follow-up litigation.
