Volker Heidbüchel Partner

Dr. Volker Heidbüchel is partner in the Corporate Transactions, Finance & Governance practice based in our Berlin office. As a business and transactional lawyer his work involves the representation of a diverse range of businesses – from companies in the energy, automotive, media and software sector to industrial and manufacturing businesses as well as to banks.

Volker specialises in corporate law. He advises companies on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, financings, restructurings and joint ventures.

His main focus is advising multinational businesses. He has a great experience in advising US and UK companies on their business activities in Germany. His clients often see him not only as a corporate and M&A lawyer, but also as a first point of contact who will coordinate the advice of colleagues across the other specialist departments and jurisdictions to make sure that the client obtains pragmatic commercial legal advice in a consistent and "client tailored" manner.

Volker is a regular contributor in professional journals (incl. Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Bankrecht, Steuern und Bilanzen) and comments on current legal issues in the daily press (incl. Financial Times Deutschland, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Börsen-Zeitung).

• Advising investors on the acquisition and sale of onshore wind farm portfolios.
• Advising a multi-national energy company in relation to an offshore wind farm project in the Baltic Sea.
• Advising investors on the financing of a production plant for solar modules.
• Advising US, UK and other foreign companies on their acquisitions, sales, joint ventures and restructurings in Germany.
• Advising shareholders and management board as well as supervisory board members on corporate governance issues.
