Vladyslav Smelik

Associate

Vladyslav Smelik focuses his practice on tax law issues, specifically double taxation issues, corporate and finance transactions. He also provides advice to clients on regulatory matters including energy law issues.

In previous positions, Vladyslav was involved in tax and legal advisory work for governmental institutions in Ukraine and worked in the Kyiv office of an international law firm.

Vladyslav is a member of the Association of International Law of Russia and of the editorial board of the Financial Law Journal. He is a contributor to a number of international conferences and articles related to Ukrainian law issues.
Vladyslav is a co-author of the article “Investing in Cogeneration for Ukraine,” published in Cogeneration and On-Site Production, a UK magazine.

    • Advising a US-based private equity fund on building its cogeneration plant in Ukraine.
    • Advising a multinational company on the risks and tax liabilities related to its operations in Ukraine.
    • Advising private investors on tax issues related to their activity in Ukraine.
