Victoria Leigh is the head of our dispute resolution practice based in our Manchester office. Her particular expertise covers both litigation and alternative dispute resolution in domestic and international corporate and commercial disputes, fraud investigations, pensions disputes, financial services industry disputes/regulatory investigations and professional negligence claims.
She is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and vice president (North) of the UK Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is also a council member of the Manchester Law Society and an active member of the local legal community. She is recognised in both the Chambers and Partners’

Representative Experience
- Acting for a large company in a warranty claim against the vendor for fraudulent inflation of profits.
- Defending an insurance broker in a multimillion pound claim for breach of a referral agreement.
- Advising clients on their obligations under Section 2 Notices issued by the Serious Fraud Office.
- Advising three individuals threatened with Contribution Notices by the Pensions Regulator and brokering a settlement with the Regulator and Trustees.
- Acting for a large chemical company in a complex dispute over termination of an IT outsourcing agreement.
- Acting for a US-based corporation in successfully defending a £1 million claim under the Commercial Agents Regulations.
- Defending an insolvency practitioner in relation to a “Minded to Revoke” notice issued by the Office of Fair Trading in relation to its consumer credit licence.
- Advising several sponsoring employers and trustees of pension schemes on professional negligence claims against former advisers in relation to failed attempts to equalise normal retirement dates.
- Advising individuals and companies on Financial Services Authority enforcement action issues.
- Acting for the majority shareholders and directors in a shareholder dispute with a complex international element.
- Advising on a public interest disclosure investigation at a higher education institution.
- Acting for pension scheme trustees in their applications to court for directions in relation to the administration of pension schemes.
