Tom Telford's practice focuses on banking, acting for both banks and borrowers in acquisition finance, property finance, general corporate banking and asset finance. He has worked on syndicated and cross-border deals as well as smaller transactions in the local market. His experience includes debt restructuring.

Tom trained with Squire Sanders and joined the Banking team in Leeds upon qualification in 2008.

Representative Experience

• Advising Lloyds TSB Development Capital Limited on the acquisition of Driver Hire, including equity investment and debt facilities.
• Acting for Vp plc on a £70 million refinancing.
• Advising The Gibson O'Neill Company Limited on its refinancing worth a total of approximately £150m.
• Advising HSBC Bank plc on the provision of debt facilities in connection with the MBO of Onyx Group Limited, which was backed by ISIS.
• Advising The Mansion Group Limited in its joint venture with IP Global Limited and a number of third party investors in acquiring and developing a site for student accommodation.
• Advising HSBC Bank (USA), NA on the UK law aspects of a US$148 million letter of credit facility.
