Terry Berman focuses her practice on communications matters. She has represented US and non-US wireline, wireless and satellite telecommunications companies and US broadcasters on regulatory, transactional and litigation matters. This includes representing clients in Federal Communications Commission and state public utility commission proceedings. Terry has also advised a non-US government on the development of wireline competition and satellite regulations. She serves as a mediator for the negotiation of spectrum reconfiguration agreements in the 800 MHz band. With respect to US regulatory matters, Terry has worked on such issues as spectrum reconfiguration, Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), privacy and First Amendment concerns.

Terry has advised global digital media and e-commerce companies. She was also formerly an in-house counsel for a webcasting company and has negotiated webcasting agreements, licenses for delivery of audio and video content, software and hardware licenses, technology-related vendor agreements, Internet advertising agreements, nondisclosure agreements and music licenses. Terry has represented major e-commerce companies on agreements for international telecommunications and Internet services.

Terry served as co-chair of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Federal Communications Bar Association from 2000 to 2002.
