Teresa Neil

Associate

Teresa Neil is a lawyer in our Commercial and Intellectual Property team and is based in our London office. She has experience advising clients on commercial, intellectual property, data protection and consumer issues and has particular expertise dealing with matters with an online or cross-border element.

Prior to joining the firm, Teresa worked at the BBC, directing and producing items for programmes such as BBC1's consumer programme "Watchdog" and Radio 4's "Front Row".

  • Advising online TV channel on filming in public, copyright clearance and interviewee consent.
  • Drafting and negotiating terms of market research agreements.
  • Drafting terms and conditions of sale and providing related consumer advice.
  • Advising digital advertising agency on cookie use from a UK and European perspective due to change in privacy laws
  • Negotiating terms of software licence agreement, software services agreement, and support services agreement.
  • Advising on data subject access requests in the context of employment litigation
  • Responding to enquiries from the Information Commissioner's Office (the UK data protection regulator) on data protection matters.
  • Co-ordinating data protection notifications in Italy, Denmark, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Ireland, and Hungary.
  • Advising on licensing issues in relation to gaming and gambling.
