Tania Cruz focuses her practice on complex, commercial and international litigation and arbitration, labor and employment, immigration and individual client matters.
Tania’s representative clients include international breweries, hotels, leading media and entertainment companies, commercial developers, international insurance and finance organizations and private clients in issues related to immigration and probate.
Tania is a member of the 2006-2007 federal court committee of the Dade County Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division.
Tania is also a member of the board of directors of the British-American Chamber of Commerce (BACC), Miami Chapter, a nonprofit organization serving the growing British business community and promoting business and trade between the United Kingdom and Florida. Tania is a member of the strategic planning committee for the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation, a nonprofit fundraising and advocacy organization formed to establish a state-of-the-art, full-service children’s hospital in Gainesville while promoting excellence in patient safety and ensuring that all families are treated with compassion, courtesy and dignity.
Tania is also a member of the board of directors of the ASPIRA Association, Inc., the only national nonprofit organization devoted solely to the education and leadership development of Puerto Rican and other Latino youth.
Tania is cofounder of and an active donor to the Patsy T. Mink Legislative Fellowship, which annually selects one law student from the University of Hawaii law school who demonstrates the spirit of late Congresswoman Patsy T. Mink to work in the United States Congress with a member of the Hawaii delegation and become more involved in the political process.
Tania is also the South Florida associate representative for the Squire Sanders Firmwide Associate Committee. The mission of the committee is to help the firm attract, develop and retain high-caliber associates by facilitating firmwide communication, exploring associate training opportunities and promoting camaraderie among associates, partners, administration and staff.
She is the author of several articles and has lectured on issues relating to national security and immigration matters and also travels to Latin America to lecture on issues related to business in Florida.
