Sue serves as co-chief operating officer of Squire Sanders. Sue is also a Labour & Employment partner based in the UK and has over 20 years of labour and employment law experience having led the employment team for 11 years up to January 2010. In various legal directories including Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, clients have described Sue as “smart and responsive” and say that “she doesn’t mince her words or hedge her bets.”

Her particular expertise covers dealing with the whole range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues acting for both private and public sector clients, however, she has particular experience in relation to the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations, corporate re-structuring and pan-European transactions.

• Advising a UK Public Sector organisation on a substantial collective consultation issue and potential claim of £750k.
• Advising a major financial institution on its merger and the subsequent termination of key individuals from the business involving potential individual claims in excess of €20 million.
• Giving strategic advice to a major UK airport regarding a particularly sensitive re-structuring programme with high level industrial relations implications.
• Advising on a pan-European basis in relation to an engineering company's decision to restructure and down-size involving coordination of issues across Europe.
• Advising outgoing Chairman from a Plc company regarding complicated exit arrangements.
• Advising Management team of a pan European company regarding bonus arrangements and potential whistleblowing claims.
