Stephen Cole

Stephen Cole is a senior associate in our International Dispute Resolution and Litigation Practice Groups based in our London office. He has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, mediation and expert determination. Stephen also has experience with bankruptcy, winding up petitions and related advice.
Stephen is experienced in resolving dispute for clients in a wide range of sectors and industries including pensions, manufacturing, insolvency practitioners, sports and employment restrictive covenant issues.

Providing advice on the expert determination of a dispute arising out of a share purchase agreement.

Acting for the joint liquidators of a company in the media industry in litigation brought against them by multiple claimants following the disposal of certain assets.

Advising the directors of Fund Distribution Limited, both in drafting the rules for distribution of the fund and day-to-day operations and interpretation of the rules throughout the period of its operation.

Advising pension fund trustees in a dispute with the scheme administrator regarding significant levels of unpaid fees.

Advising the liquidator of a company on its obligations when responding to a request for third-party disclosure.

Advising on judicial review proceedings.

Advising an advertising agency on issues arising as a consequence of a team move and breaches of various restrictive covenants, and other contractual and equitable obligations.

Advising an international logistics company in conjunction with Singapore counsel relating to a team move and related breach of restrictive covenants/fiduciary duty claims.

Advising a Formula 1 motor racing team in a dispute with one of its drivers.

Advising a premier league football club in connection with a dispute arising from a share purchase agreement.

Advising the participating employers in a large pension scheme upon the obtaining of a declaration from the Court as to the true construction of a clause within the scheme deed and rules.
