Stéphanie Faber specialises in international business law, commercial law, data protection and consumer law. With 20 years of experience, Stéphanie’s legal practice encompasses advising on, drafting and negotiating contracts in the following areas:
- Commercial contracts including distribution agreements, services and supply agreements, advertising agreements, logistic agreements, general conditions of sales and sponsoring agreements;
- Joint ventures, transfer of businesses, assets or licenses;
- France regulations applying to commercial businesses including e-commerce such as consumer protection, competition, advertising, product liability, abrupt termination of ongoing commercial relationships, distance sales, on or offline gaming and lotteries and use of French language;
- IT, media and telecom contracts and outsourcing contracts;
- Data protection including database creation, international transfers, employee monitoring and whistle blowing and marketing usage and compliance;
- Communication and media regulations; and
- Conflicts and pre-litigation situations.
She also has experience in private M&A which she adds to her commercial practice.
Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Stéphanie has worked for an English magic circle firm and was a partner with Linklaters LLP Paris for nine years in their M&A and IP/TMT departments. She also underwent a traineeship with a Japanese law firm in Tokyo.
Stéphanie is a member of the French Privacy association AFCDP, the Commission on the Digital Economy and the Data Protection group of the ICC and she used to be a member of IAPP. She is also a member of European PWN where she participated in the creation of a social responsibility and women’s entrepreneurship prize.
She has spoken at various conferences in the Middle East and UK and participates in vocational and client training.
