Stacey Shevill
Associate

Stacey Shevill is an associate in the Litigation department and is part of the Sports Law Group based in our London office. Stacey specialises in contentious and regulatory sports law issues. In particular, Stacey regularly assists in high profile disciplinary and anti-doping proceedings brought before sports governing bodies and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Stacey also advises clients in the media, entertainment, advertising and marketing sectors, acting in commercial litigation, international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution matters. During her training contract with the firm, Stacey spent 4 months on secondment, working in the legal department of the world’s largest live entertainment company.
Representative Experience
- CAS 2384 / CAS 2386 UCI and WADA v Alberto Contador and RFEC – Assistant solicitor for Mr Contador in respect of anti-doping proceedings brought against him by UCI and WADA at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
- The Football Association v. Kolo Touré – Assistant solicitor for Mr. Touré in disciplinary proceedings before the Football Association Regulatory Commission.
- The International Cricket Council v. Upul Tharanga – Assistant solicitor for Mr. Tharanga in disciplinary proceedings before the Independent Anti-Doping Tribunal of the International Cricket Council.
- CAS 2009/A/1752 Vadim Devyatovskiy v/ IOC & CAS 2009/A/1753 Ivan Tsikhan v/ IOC - Assisting in a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in respect of anti-doping proceedings brought against two Olympic medallists.
- Delon Armitage v The Rugby Football Union and The Rugby Football Union v Delon Armitage – Assistant solicitor for Mr Armitage in disciplinary proceedings before a Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Panel at first instance and on appeal.
- Hilton v National Ice Skating Association of the United Kingdom Ltd, I.S.L.R. 2009, 2, SLR75-78 - Securing World Championship selection for an elite British athlete by way of a High Court injunction, following his national governing body's unlawful decision not to select him.
- Assisting on a High Court team move case for the world's largest marketing services conglomerate concerning theft of confidential information and breaches of contract and fiduciary duty.
- Assisting on a £2.5 million High Court team move case for a major Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker.
