Sara K. Regan

Partner

Sara K. Regan is a trial lawyer with extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial and tort litigation matters. Her practice focuses primarily on contract disputes and business torts, with an emphasis on disputes involving fraud, interference, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets and banking. Sara also has substantial experience in product liability and construction defect litigation. Her practice includes obtaining injunctive relief and other prejudgment remedies on behalf of clients requiring expedited assistance. She also has substantial experience in post-trial matters including obtaining and executing judgments, obtaining attorneys' fees awards and pursuing claims against parties seeking to avoid satisfaction of adverse judgments. 

Sara is a member of Squire Sanders pro bono committee and has represented clients in a wide variety of pro bono matters. She is also a member of the Phoenix hiring and diversity committees, and speaks frequently on diversity and equality in the practice of law. Sara serves on the Board of Directors of HandsOn Greater Phoenix. She has also served as a court-appointed arbitrator and is a member of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona.

Representative Experience

    • Serving as trial counsel for an aviation industry client that was sued by a former vendor seeking payment of invoices, and ultimately obtaining a unanimous jury verdict and complete recovery of client's damages on seven contract and tort counterclaims, then moving for and receiving a full award of attorneys’ fees and judgment in excess of US$1 million.
    • Securing a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against a former employee under the Uniform Trade Secrets Act and for violating noncompete and antisolicitation agreements.
    • Representing the largest agricultural cooperative association in Arizona as a member of the trial team that secured a favorable jury verdict and award of attorneys’ fees, then prosecuting the appeal that upheld the verdict and fee award.
    • Obtaining an order striking a jury’s award of damages to a party that had committed fraud.
    • Petitioning for and securing a prejudgment order garnishing defendants’ property on behalf of a client alleging breach of contract, tort and fraud claims.
    • Representing a domestic violence victim in a bench trial and ultimately obtaining an order of child support, past support and attorneys’ fees for the client.
    • Defending a publicly traded sports and entertainment company against claims related to the design, development, and construction of sports arenas.
    • Representing drug companies in class action and multidistrict product liability litigation.
