Steven F. Mount focuses his practice on limited liability company and partnership taxation, international tax issues in cross-border transactions, New Markets Tax Credit and Historic Tax Credit transactions, and issues concerning real estate investment trusts.

Mr. Mount’s recent transactions include numerous New Markets Tax Credit and Historic Tax Credit transactions, the acquisition by a real estate investment trust of a shopping center company valued at US$1.5 billion and a major shopping center restructuring of US$350 million in assets into a tiered partnership structure. He also represented a major New York investment bank in creating an international real estate fund with US$1 billion in targeted assets.

He was the author of a BNA portfolio on the taxation of real estate investment trusts and has authored several articles on REITs and other issues.

Mr. Mount is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Ohio Super Lawyers.
