Damond R. Mace

Damond R. Mace is a trial lawyer who uses creativity and passion for his clients’ goals, and has extensive experience representing clients in commercial contract disputes, general commercial litigation, UCC, class actions, product liability, premises liability and tort actions. He is a Fellow and is on the State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been repeatedly named in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America with special recognition for bet-the-company litigation, commercial litigation and products liability litigation. Damond also has been selected by Thomson Reuters as an Ohio Super Lawyer each year since 2005 and was given a top 100 ranking overall in 2011.

His diverse litigation experience also includes real estate, trademark/trade secrets, environmental/pollution, construction, wrongful death, banking, wrongful discharge, royalty disputes and antitrust. He has successfully handled many jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts across the country, as well as numerous arbitration, mediation and other alternate dispute resolution proceedings.

An honors chemistry major in undergraduate school, Damond has used his scientific knowledge and analytical skills to simplify complex issues for juries and judges.

In 2005 he obtained a US$9.3 million verdict in favor of a client involved in a contract dispute over the supply of integrated circuits. In 2001 Damond was awarded the National Law Journal’s Defense Win of the Month and one of the Top Defense Wins of 2001 for a unanimous defense jury verdict obtained on a US$176 million claim in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas.

Damond is a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section and is a master bencher in the Judge John M. Manos Inn of Court.
