Sinead Sheehan

Associate

Sinead is an associate solicitor in the pensions law practice of our Manchester office. Sinead trained with the firm from 2004-2006 and qualified in September 2006.

Sinead advises trustees and companies on a broad range of pension issues including scheme mergers, corporate transactions, liability management, equalisation, section 75 debts and their management, matters involving the Pensions Regulator, scheme restructuring, scheme documentation and providing ongoing pensions and trust law advice.

Sinead is also a director of the firm’s trustee company, the Trustee Corporation Limited and acts as an independent trustee on a number of matters.

    • Buy in of annuities in respect of pensioner liabilities
    • Advising trustees and employers on the closure of pension plans to the future accrual of benefits
    • Drafting new trust deed and rules for final salary pension plans
    • Advising trustees of their responsibilities during Pension Protection Fund assessment periods
