Simon is a consultant in the development and regeneration team specializing in private and public sector regeneration work and in particular town centre schemes for developers and local authorities.

Simon has advised developers including Modus, Wilson Bowden, Simons, Helical and Resolution Properties in relation to numerous complex town centre mixed use developments including Wigan, Crewe, Blackpool, Bishops Stortford, Coventry and also office parks for 3m and Dell. He has also advised developers in relation to distribution centres (often with rail connections) business parks and out of town retail parks.

Simon has acted for the East Midlands Development Agency and the Homes and Communities Agency in the West Midlands and recently for Staffordshire County Council in relation to its new headquarters and Waverley in relation to their interests in Farnham.

Formerly Simon was recognized by Chambers UK: A Client's Guide to the UK Legal Profession, in which it is commented that he "has a major profile in town centre redevelopments".
