Ryan Hawley has a broad range of experience across the corporate finance sector.  

Ryan regularly advises private equity houses in relation to their acquisition of businesses, whether by way of MBOs or less usual deal structures.

Ryan also advises corporate clients in relation to acquisitions and disposals.  He has specialist knowledge in the Waste and Recycling and Childcare sectors.

Ryan has a wide range of experience of acting for companies and their shareholders in relation to documentation governing their respective relationships regarding each other.

Ryan spent 4 months on secondment as the sole in-house counsel of English Premier League side Aston Villa.

Representative Experience

    • Acting for the SAICA, a Spanish company, in relation to its acquisition of several corporate recycling and waste management business in the United Kingdom.
    • Acting for Key Capital Partners in relation to the acquisition of Midlands Industrial Glass.
    • Advising the sellers of Teaching Personnel, one of the United Kingdom’s largest teacher recruitment agencies, in relation to their disposal of the company for approximately GB £45 million.
    • Advising the German acquirer of a mining equipment manufacturer.
    • Advising the management team of 8Solutions, a server room cleaning manufacturer in relation to the acquisition of the company by a private equity house.
    • Acting for the management team of a leading provider of technical solutions for the financial services industry in relation to a private equity backed management buy-out.
    • Advising Chesapeake Corporation, a global supplier of packaging to the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and tobacco industries, on a US$485 million financial restructuring and the sale of the group's operating businesses to private equity institutions.
    • Advising Aston Villa (a club in the English Premier League) on its GB £66 million recommended takeover by Reform Acquisitions Limited, a company associated with Randy Lerner.
