Roy Grist is a senior associate in our Banking and Finance Practice Group in our Birmingham office.

Roy joined Squire Sanders in December 2010. He has extensive experience in advising lenders and borrowers on a broad mix of national and international corporate banking transactions, including acquisition finance, property and development finance, asset based finance, restructurings and joint venture funding.

Representative Experience

• Advising the lender in connection with the £350 million refinancing of Macdonald Hotels Limited.
• Advising William Grant & Sons in refinancing its existing facilities with a club of lenders.
• Advising Robert Wiseman plc in increasing its total facilities with Clydesdale Bank to £100 million.
• Advising the club of lenders in connection with a £675 million restructuring of the UK's largest privately owned housebuilder.
• Advising a major global distributor in the drinks sector in connection with its receivables financing arrangements with Barclays Bank.
