Rebecca Coombes

Rebecca Coombes’ practice focuses primarily on UK and international asset-based lending litigation in our London office, including advising on and issuing proceedings against debtors and guarantor litigation. Rebecca also has recent experience in insurance litigation.
Rebecca has experience in litigation matters including pre-action protocol and letters before action, issuing proceedings, disclosure, defending actions, summary judgment application, defending applications to set aside judgment, appeals and enforcement action.
Rebecca uses her experience to provide pro bono legal advice for the A4ID Pro bono group and Paddington Law Centre.
Representative Experience
- Advising a French-based insurance company on the merits of their defence to a large insurance claim and defending proceedings.
- Investigating evidence of fraud on several occasions, advising the client on the merits of the evidence and commencing fraud actions.
- Advising UK and international factors on terms of guarantees and indemnities and issuing proceedings against guarantors of facilities.
- Managing collect out of client ledgers, and commencing actions against debtors.
- Conducting mediation and settlement meetings.
- Providing training to clients through presentations and role plays, and presenting at ABFA conferences.
