Rebecca Heath

Associate

Rebecca Heath represents clients in a wide range of disputes. Her experience includes representation in disputes over mining and exploration agreements, construction projects, property developments, joint ventures, managed investment schemes, employment matters and directors’ duties, as well as various other types of contractual and statutory rights, obligations and liabilities.

She has acted for clients in a wide variety of industry sectors including energy and resources, real estate and commercial property, financial services, technology, sports, entertainment, construction, infrastructure and government. 

Rebecca deals with all aspects of corporate and commercial disputes including those related to shareholders and governance,  intellectual property and technology.  She provides strategic advice on the effective management of potential or existing disputes. 

Rebecca also advises private and public clients on administrative law matters. She works with private entities to obtain relevant approvals and permits, and to challenge a decision maker's exercise or refusal to exercise power.  She also works with public entities and statutory bodies in dealing with challenges related to their exercise of power.

Rebecca has experience acting for clients in courts, arbitrations, mediations and tribunals.

Prior to joining Squire Sanders, she was an associate to The Honorable Justice Michael Barker, justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and president of the State Administrative Tribunal.

Rebecca is a section editor of the Australian Journal of Administrative Law and a casual tutor in administrative law at the University of Western Australia. She is a committee member for the Australian Institute of Administrative Law, and a member of the Law Society of Western Australia.
