Peter Zapf’s practice focuses on corporate law and mergers and acquisitions including public takeovers.
Before joining Squire Sanders, Peter was an associate at a major Germany-based law firm for four years. In 2006, he worked as a secondee for six months at an investment bank.

- Advising the owner in the sale of a mutual funds company to an Italy-based financial services group.
- Advising a leading global aerospace and defense industry supplier in its acquisition of a bearing manufacturer from one of the world’s largest auto parts suppliers.
- Advising a major Germany-based bank in the sale of its insurance activities and in the acquisition of asset management activities to and from a Switzerland-based financial services company.
- Advising a large Germany-based industrial company in the sale of its chemical business to a private equity firm in a €2.25 billion deal.
- Advising a private equity firm in the sale of a transmission and gear systems manufacturer to a German blue chip corporation.
- Working as a legal secondee with investment bankers of a North America-based bank on several merger and acquisition transactions including public takeovers.
