Peter C. Alfano III

Associate

Peter Alfano is a member of the Squire Sanders Antitrust & Competition Practice Group. His experience involves both civil litigation and government regulatory issues in the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, automotive and telecommunications industries.

Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Peter was a project lawyer at an international law firm in Washington DC, where his practice focused on antitrust matters including responding to second requests from the US Department of Justice. His experience also includes working as a law clerk in the Felony Trial Division of the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, where he assisted in criminal matters including drafting motions to suppress evidence and compel discovery.

While a law student, he was a Shapiro Public Interest Fellow and conducted a study on the procedural and substantive state of the National Environmental Policy Act. In 2009 Peter’s article “NEPA at 40: Procedure or Substance” was presented at NEPA at 40: How a Visionary Statute Confronts 21st Century Environmental Impacts, a conference cosponsored by the Environmental Law Institute, The George Washington University and The Council on Environmental Quality.

Peter is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the International Law, Antitrust and Business Law Sections of the American Bar Association.

Peter is admitted only to New York and Massachusetts, working under the supervision of members of the DC Bar pending admission in the District of Columbia.
