Nicola specialises in both contentious and non-contentious construction law. She has particular experience in court proceedings in both the County and Technology and Construction Courts and has acted for both claimants and defendants on disputes. She has experience in litigation, mediation, adjudication proceedings and pre-action protocol matters.

Representative Experience

• Assisted on a GBP1 million claim for an air handling unit manufacture which resulted in settlement through mediation.
• Assisted in adjudication proceedings issued by a specialist groundwork contractor in relation to development works at a Territorial Army base, including assisting in the drafting of the notice, referral and the reply and collating the various files of evidence.
• Dealt with numerous construction-specific debt recovery matters for both an international air conditioning company and an international property consultant company, including drafting initial letters before action, through to issuing a claim and conducting proceedings through the County Court / Technology and Construction Court.
• Also assisted on a number of non-contentious matters, including drafting reports on contractual documents and assisting in the drafting of appointment documents and collateral warranties.
