Nick Armitage

Partner

Nick is a partner in our Litigation (property@ction) practice based in our Leeds office. He is the local leader of the litigation department. His particular expertise covers a wide range of commercial property disputes and public procurement challenges. Nick brings a wealth of experience having nearly 20 years experience of acting for the owners, landlords and tenants of commercial properties, including shopping centres, high street retail units, factories and development land. He acts and has acted for varied clients from large multinational corporations, banks, local authorities and development agencies as well individuals.

Nick is a CEDR Accredited Mediator.

    • Acting for tenant in defending a £1.5 million dilapidations claim.
    • Acting for a Local Authority in a dispute over a £10 million development contract.
    • Acting for an unsuccessful tenderer in a challenge to a public authority service contract.
    • Acting for a Local Authority in a challenge to a £250 million town centre development procurement competition.
    • Advising a Local Authority in relation to a £10 million town centre procurement exercise.
    • Acting for a Local Authority in a challenge to a £30 million procurement competition.
    • Acting for a national organisation in the recovery of unpaid rates in excess of £200,000 from the landlord of a factory.
