Norman Davis focuses his practice on litigation and counseling in all aspects of employment law, as well as general business and commercial litigation.
His employment experience covers the full horizon of workplace issues: discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour issues, hiring and termination, employee discipline, plant closings, employment contracts (including noncompetition and confidentiality covenants), severance and separation agreements, ERISA litigation, reductions in force, employee leasing and others.
In employment respects, Norman has represented two of Florida’s major hospitals, one of the nation’s major sugar growers and millers, temporary employee firms, an employee leasing company, a private banking institution, a regional opera company, a major sports franchise in South Florida and a nationally known event promoter.
With respect to broader business disputes, Norman has been an advocate for a broad range of clients in litigation including a large national publishing company, a large national construction firm and shareholder claims in a close professional corporation.
Norman is a frequent speaker on employment issues in a range of public forums and conducts training and orientation sessions for managers and employees. He has been on the American Arbitration Association’s roster of employment arbitrators since 1996 and is chosen as an arbitrator in employment disputes a number of times each year.
