Martin Mladek’s practice focuses on real estate, corporate and administrative law. Martin has ten years of experience advising both Czech Republic-based and international clients on real estate acquisitions, greenfield development, property management and corporate acquisition matters.
Martin joined the Squire Sanders Prague office in 2007 after working at a major Prague-based law firm for seven years.
Martin is affiliated with Squire Sanders, v.o.s., advokátní kancelář.
Representative Experience
- Representing a Czech Republic-based real estate company in the sale of the Nestlé headquarters building to CPI Group.
- Representing an international real estate company in the development of an approximately 14,000-square-meter office building in Prague.
- Representing a joint venture between Czech Republic-based and international developers in the development of approximately 125,000 square meters in the center of Prague into a multifunctional center consisting of an administrative and residential complex and shopping mall.
- Advising GEMO Olomouc on the development and sale of a turnkey project in Olomouc to Austria’s largest furniture store operator.
- Representing ING Real Estate Development in a number of acquisitions and divestments including transactions involving Arena Holešovice, Pivovar Braník and Modřany Centrum.
- Advising clients in administrative and court procedures related to contested building or other permits by third parties, including environmental associations.
- Advising a residential development company on the development of a 250 apartment project in Prague.
- Representing the largest Czech Republic-based insurance company with respect to restructuring its real estate assets and settling legal relationships.
- Advising an international retail network on developing premises in the Czech Republic.
- Advising the largest Czech Republic-based producer of roofing materials and services on the acquisition of the largest Czech Republic-based producer of roof insulation materials.
- Representing international investors in property management matters.
- Advising international and Czech Republic-based companies on a variety of acquisitions of midsized companies.
