Munehiro Matsumoto’s practice primarily focuses on corporate, securities, real property, labor and employment, and antitrust laws. Munehiro regularly handles mergers and acquisitions, securitization and other real estate transactions as well as regulatory work for financial institutions. He represents clients in complex commercial litigation and other dispute resolution matters. Munehiro has extensive experience working with clients in the financial, real estate, manufacturing, IT, trading and publishing industries. He has also been involved in advising on corporate governance and compliance law issues for Japan-based corporations including those listed on stock exchanges in both Japan and the United States.

Munehiro has spoken at seminars and published books and legal articles on a variety of topics including Y2K problems, financial inspection and compliance systems, corporate director and officer liability, treasury stock, real estate transactions, asbestos problems, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, mergers & acquisitions under the Companies Act of Japan, various issues under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act of Japan (TOB rules, insider trading regulations and disclosure requirements) and the Labor Contract Act of Japan.
