Miriam Lampert

Senior Associate

Miriam Lampert is a Senior Associate in our Employment practice based in our London office. She advises a wide range of corporate clients across a variety of sectors including Information Technology and New Media, Media and Marketing, and Financial Services on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.

Her particular expertise includes advising on complex disciplinary and grievance issues, executive recruitment and severances, managing ill-health, capability and misconduct in the workplace, the planning and implementation of redundancy programmes, employment-related issues on mergers, acquisitions and private equity and venture capital-backed transactions, practical aspects of the Transfer of Undertaking Regulations including drafting and negotiating TUPE provisions in service provision agreements, and employee competition issues.

Miriam regularly represents clients on claims brought in the Employment Tribunals and has particular experience of acting for employers in relation to complex discrimination and whistle-blowing claims. She also frequently runs training workshops and seminars for clients and contacts of the Firm.

A Hebrew speaker, Miriam is Head of the Israel Group and has a particular interest in developing business with clients who have connections with Israel. She is an active member of the British-Israel Chamber of Commerce.

Representative Experience

    • Advising a number of media and marketing agencies on the implications of the Transfer of Undertaking Regulations.
    • Acting for a bank in relation to a number of claims of whistle-blowing, unfair dismissal and race discrimination.
    • Advising a software company on a variety of employment related issues and on the recruitment and transfer of foreign employees.
    • Acting for a major live entertainment company in relation to one of the first reported age discrimination Employment Tribunal claims.
    • Advising a recruitment consultancy in relation to alleged breaches of confidentiality and possible injunctive proceedings.
    • Advising a multi-national hotel chain in relation to various complex grievance and disciplinary issues.
    • Advising an advertising agency on the successful implementation of a collective redundancy programme.
    • Advising a global healthcare communications company on the acquisition of a marketing communications consultancy business.
