Mary Ann Jorgenson’s practice focuses on the representation of public and private companies in securities matters, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She has particular experience in corporate growth strategies, representing local and global corporations in large transactions. Mary Ann’s corporate experience is complemented by her active and prior service as both counsel to boards of large and growing businesses and as a director or secretary of several public and private companies and charitable organizations. Mary Ann has significant international experience, both in large privatization transactions and in international transactions for domestic corporate clients.

Mary Ann received the Jean Allard Glass Cutter Award in 2009 from the American Bar Association for her accomplishments and leadership in creating opportunities for women. Mary Ann has served on Squire Sanders management committee and as its firmwide business practice coordinator. She is also immediate past chair of the Committee on Corporate Laws of the American Bar Association (ABA) and was an adviser to the ABA’s Task Force on Corporate Responsibility 2002-2003. She is a frequent speaker at national securities law and corporate governance seminars and conferences. Mary Ann also serves as chair of DirectWomen, a national initiative to identify and support women lawyers to serve as independent directors of public companies. She is also a member of the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame.
