Martin Walker is a senior associate in our Real Estate Practice Group based in our Birmingham office. His particular expertise covers town planning law. He has more than 20 years experience of working for both public and private sector clients on all aspects of major employment, housing, town centre and retail developments (including High Court proceedings when necessary). Martin is recognised as an expert in planning law and is a Legal Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He is also the author of several articles in various journals and author of the book “Costs in Planning Proceedings” (Longman).

- Advising on Ironstone New Village, Telford, a £500 million 100 acre new sustainable community including 3,000 new dwellings. Advising the developer group of Barratt, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey.
- Advising Advantage West Midlands on the employment uses of Chatterley Valley Strategic Employment Area, Stoke-on-Trent, 100 HA, 1.7 m sq.ft.
- Advising Prologis on the employment uses at the 26 HA site former Rolls Royce Works, Bristol. 1.2m sq.ft B1, B2, B8.
- Advising Persimmon Homes on a Strategic 17 acre site for more than 600 dwellings in Wolverhampton.
- Advising Aston Villa FC and Everton FC in relation to football academies (having previously acted for Leicester City FC in obtaining planning permission for its 32,000 seat stadium).
