Markus Schmucker is partner in the Corporate Strategy & Finance (Asset Based Lending) practice based in our Berlin office. He advises on all aspects of banking and finance law, as well as on restructuring and insolvency matters.

His practice focuses on financial services and corporate finance transactions. He advises banks and other financial institutions, as well as borrowers on all aspects of financing including large cross border financing transactions and alternative financing structures.

Michael's finance experience includes financial restructurings and non-performing loan transactions and other distressed debt investments as well as the financing and refinancing of real estate acquisitions. His experience also includes factoring, receivables finance and asset-based lending structures. Michael has advised corporate clients in obtaining financing, particularly in structured finance transactions. He has also advised financial institutions with respect to new financial products in Germany and on all aspects of regulatory compliance.
