Mark is a banking partner in Squire Sanders' Financial Services Practice Group and a co-chair of the global Banking & Finance Practice Segment. Mark's personal practice covers domestic and cross border syndicated lending, structured export credit finance, debt restructurings, acquisition finance and asset finance. Mark has advised financial institutions, corporate borrowers and national and supranational sovereign/quasi-sovereign organisations on domestic and cross border bank finance throughout Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS, the Middle East and Africa. Mark has lived and practiced in the Czech Republic (Prague), England (London), Germany (Düsseldorf and Frankfurt) and Russia (Moscow).

- Advising Barclays Capital's structured trade and export finance team on the financing of its structured trade finance transactions
- Advising BNPParibas on facilities for its Media and Telecom Finance group
- Advising HSBC as lead arranger on the financing of Eon's €42.32bn offer for Endesa - the world's largest syndicated loan (Euroweek)
- Advising Anheuser-Busch InBev on the financing of its acquisitions of brewers Apatin (Serbia), Beck's (Germany) and Bass (United Kingdom) and the beer businesses of Whitbread (United Kingdom)
- Advising Renaissance Capital on financings in Russia and Africa
- Advising Standard Bank on financings in Russia and Africa
- Advising Telefónica on its £18.5bn acquisition financing of O2 - Most Impressive Loan/Best Western European Loan (Euroweek)
