Mark Palermo

Senior Associate

Mark Palermo’s practice includes commercial property law, liquor licensing, and project and corporate finance.


In Western Australia, Mark has assisted ALH Group on the A$86 million acquisition of 12 tavern business (freehold and business), Brookfield on the redevelopment of the Bishops See (office tower and hotel) site, and St Martins on leasing office space to its anchor office tenant, Calibre, at 50 St Georges Terrace, Perth. Mark also acts for Woolworths Limited on the acquisition of liquor store assets in Western Australia, Rio Tinto Iron Ore on accommodation village contracting and land development for worker housing, and The Perth Diocesan Trustees in relation to joint venture contracting and the redevelopment of office and civic space. He also acts for various borrower clients on project and corporate finance matters, including advising on bank facilities, the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) and the National Credit Code.

Mark spent a year in Brisbane, where he assisted with the drafting, preparation and management of leases for a new major Queensland shopping centre.

Mark is a member of The Law Society of Western Australia, the Secretary of the University of Western Australia – Graduate Management Association Inc., and a member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (WA) (UDIA) Outlook@UDIA committee.

Since 2009 he has been the presenter of the commercial property section of the UDIA Professional Development Program.
