Malcolm Buckmaster Gunn advises in all areas of UK taxation with a focus on matters relating to private clients. He has expertise in trusts and estates and capital gains tax reliefs. For 10 years, he worked as the tax adviser for a firm of solicitors and its clients in London. For more than 20 years, Malcolm ran his own practice and represented clients including small businesses, companies and wealthy individuals.
Malcolm was the editor of
Taxation magazine for sixteen years. He contributes to several professional publications including two chapters in the market leading work on tax planning, Tolley’s
Tax Planning, The Tax Faculty’s annual book on tax planning and the magazine
Taxation.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Taxation and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Malcolm was awarded the 2004 Butterworth Lifetime Achievement Award.
