Majid AlBassam

Senior Associate

Majid AlBassam focuses his practice on intellectual property matters.
Majid has advised clients in the areas of patent procurement, patentability, infringement and invalidity as well as copyright issues. His experience includes US and international patent preparation and prosecution in various areas of technology including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, networking, automotive systems, robotics, electronics and semiconductors.
Majid also has experience preparing patent-related opinions including noninfringement and invalidity opinions.

Before entering the practice of law, Majid worked in the information technology as a computer specialist and a software applications programmer for a systems integration company.

Majid is the author of “Bilski Bailout: Why the Supreme Court Should Grant Cert,” Law 360, April 17, 2009.

Majid is a member of the Virginia Bar, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.
