Lyn Schofield Associate

Lyn Schofield is a chartered civil engineer and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.  After 9 years working within the construction industry for contractors, consultants and employers, Lyn qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and now works in our Construction team based in our Leeds office.  Since joining the department, she has developed expertise in a wide range of non-contentious contract documentation. 

Lyn has expertise drafting development agreements, construction contracts, appointments, collateral warranties, third party agreements, letters of intent, vesting agreements, deeds of novation and assignments as well as bespoke agreements to progress a range of construction projects for both public and private sector clients.  She also has experience of due diligence of corporate transactions. 

Lyn also spent 2 years working as the Professional Support Lawyer for the Construction team and her work included developing precedents for key clients.

In the community, Lyn is a supervisor and advisor at Hillside Legal Advice Service, a free legal advice drop-in clinic.

Representative Experience

• Advising and acting for a large developer in relation to various projects including shopping centres, leisure facilities, healthcare, student accommodation and universities throughout the country.
• Acting for a leading healthcare Developer in relation to various projects including primary care centres, GP surgeries and pharmacies.
• Advising various regional development agencies on several high profile regeneration projects.
