Linda Moss

Associate

Linda Moss is an Associate in our Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group based in the Leeds office. She is involved in a variety of contentious and noncontentious restructuring, recoveries and insolvency work including administrations, Law of Property Act receiverships and distressed sales and acquisitions. Linda advises banks, insolvency practitioners and other insolvency professionals on a number of insolvency issues.

In particular Linda is experienced in noncontentious insolvency work including the successful sale of a number of distressed businesses, carrying out security review work for banks and undertaking a variety of property work for LPA Receivers, administrators and liquidators.

Linda is involved in a number of pro bono programmes run by Squire Sanders including volunteering at Hillside Legal Advice Centre and taking part in charity events run by the Leeds office.

Representative Experience

    • Advising the joint administrators appointed by the major secured creditor over Copper Dragon Brewery, culminating in the successful sale of the business, resulting in approximately 100 jobs being saved.
    • Advising PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the joint administrators on the disposal of a group of motorway service stations which traded under the Swayfields Group – Extra Motorway Service Areas name and had secured bank debt in excess of £300 million.
    • Advising the joint administrators from KPMG LLP, who were appointed as administrators over the well know regional residential building company, Consort Homes.
    • Advising the joint administrators on the disposal of an engineering company based in Newcastle, the transaction had a turn around time of 2 days from start to finish.
    • Advising on a variety of property issues and carrying out the successful sale of a number of properties for LPA receivers at GVA Grimley and Eddisons.
    • Carrying out a number of security reviews on behalf of major UK clearing banks including advising the banks on their security position, enforcement options and steps which may be taken to strengthen the banks' security position with its customer.
