Lenka Abelovská’s practice focuses on corporate, real estate and litigation matters.

Lenka’s corporate experience includes representing clients in connection with transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, and advising various Slovak and foreign legal entities on all aspects of general corporate matters on an ongoing basis.

Lenka’s real estate experience includes assisting foreign investors in connection with real estate development projects in the Slovak Republic. Her litigation experience also includes representing clients in court proceedings abroad.

Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Lenka gained experience at a law office in Bratislava as a law clerk, drafting various legal documents and improving her legal research and analysis skills.

Representative Experience

• Advising a Slovak-Republic based private investment company in connection with a cross-border transactional matter.
• Assisting an energy firm in preparing documentation in connection with a joint venture involving a thermal power plant in Serbia.
• Representing a Slovak Republic-based branch of the international real estate investment and development group in connection with a high-quality housing residential project located in Bratislava including obtaining planning and building permits, preparing contracts on transfer of legal title to apartments and land designated for construction of family houses, as well as complex legal advisory services regarding all corporate matters of the client.
• Assisting the largest UK-based retail chain investor in preparing easement, lease and sublease agreements with respect to various retail projects in the Slovak Republic.
• Assisting a Slovak Republic-based company in a court proceeding in the UK regarding its rights in the share capital of a foreign joint stock company.
• Advising a global infrastructure, finance and media company in connection with various general corporate matters.
