Luca Bokor focuses her practice on finance matters. She also has experience in the field of corporate law and real estate law-related transactions. She has represented foreign investors in a wide variety of financing transactions of significant value. She has particular experience with real estate financing for both the lender’s and the borrower’s side.
Representative Experience
- Representing a major property group in the financing of the development of its office buildings, shopping, retail and leisure centers in Hungary.
- Advising on a US$195 million syndicated loan facilitated by major US-based banks.
- Representing the Europe-based property group of a Wall Street firm in connection with the acquisition financing of more than €70 million of a real estate portfolio consisting of office complexes and various special purpose vehicles from a Germany-based close-ended property fund.
- Assisting a Guernsey-based real estate investment fund comprising of private investors in North America regarding the financing of several real estate acquisitions in Hungary.
- Counseling a market leader annuity provider in Hungary to senior people in connection with the refinancing of the company’s senior debt by major US-based banks, valued at more than €70 million.
- Advising on the legal aspects in Hungary of the €200 million of acquisition leverage financing in connection with the purchase of 100 percent of the shares in GTS Central Europe (GTS CE), a leading alternative telecom service provider with operations in Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania and the Slovak Republic by a private equity consortium led by Columbia Capital, M/C Venture Partners and Innova Capital. This was one of the largest private equity deals in Central Europe in 2008.
- Assisting in the legal representation an Iceland-based finance institution in connection with its difficulties due to the financial crisis affecting credit institutions starting in 2008.
