Laura Shields

Laura Shields is a lawyer in our Employment practice based on our London office. She trained with Hammonds and qualified in 2010.
Laura has advised on a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment matters and has the responsibility for the day-to-day running of a number of Tribunal Claims including Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, Unlawful Deduction of Wages and Breach of Contract.
Laura is closely involved with the firm’s education based initiatives with the local community and assists with the co-ordination of Ben Jonson School.
Representative Experience
- Assisting and advising on a TUPE claim against a large advertising company.
- Advising various clients on their redundancy consultations.
- Advising clients on various aspects of European Labour Law and project management of advice received from European lawyers.
- Advising individuals on the terms of their compromise agreements.
- Drafting contracts of employment, compromise agreements, company handbooks and policies.
- Drafting ET3s, witness statements, Instructions to Counsel and organising and completing disclosure.
- Completing statutory discrimination questionnaire and responses.
