Laura advises on the full range of employment law related issues. She carries out employment tribunal litigation, strategic advice, corporate support, and general advisory work, as well as drafting all types of employment documentation.
Representative Experience
- Advising large national employers on defending a range of Tribunal proceedings including unfair dismissal and all types of discrimination.
- Advising on sexual harassment and bullying grievances made by two employees towards members of senior management team in a UK IT company.
- Advising on issues relating to equal pay.
- Advising on senior level exits including drafting and negotiating Compromise Agreements.
- Advising on the negotiated exit of a Finance Director from a charity, following the revealing of serious financial failings within the business.
- Advising on planning and implementing changes to terms and conditions.
- Advising a national IT company on the redundancy consultation process.
- Advising on the legal and practical implications of TUPE transfers, including complying with information and consultation obligations.
- Providing corporate support functions including carrying out due diligence and drafting service agreements.
- Advising Public Listed Company on record-keeping obligations and document retention policy.
- Advising (together with pensions specialists) on the legal and practical implications of closing a final salary pension scheme.
- Two month in-house secondment to a well known UK high street bank. Assisting the in-house team with a major restructure and collective redundancy process as well as a TUPE consultation process in relation to the transfer of part of the business and its employees in a merger with another bank.
