Kelly Leahy represents healthcare providers in a full range of regulatory, transactional and contract matters. Kelly has significant experience in providing counsel to hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, hospice, home health and other providers. Having served for nearly a decade as in-house legal counsel to a multihospital, regional healthcare system with numerous subsidiary entities and affiliated businesses, she combines legal expertise with in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations. Kelly advises clients on matters including Stark, the antikickback statute, managed care, HIPAA, corporate compliance programs, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, corporate governance and tax exemption. She has particular expertise in physician/hospital alignment and affiliation strategies including medical practice acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, recruitment and employment. Her experience includes serving as general counsel to a 75-physician multispecialty group and an independent practice association of more than 300 primary care physicians.

Kelly served as legal counsel and director of health policy for a large state hospital association, where she provided legal analysis, policy development and advocacy on a wide variety of state healthcare topics including antitrust, taxation, managed care, allied health licensure, advance directives, laboratory unbundling and false claims, physician credentialing and certificate of need.
