Junkang (Edison) Chen provides legal assistance, analysis and advice including extensive research. He also drafts and reviews corporate documents, commercial contracts, agreements and other transactional documents for clients in various industries.

In addition, Edison advises clients on foreign direct investment. He assists clients in the IT, manufacturing and trading industries on company formation, corporate maintenance and compliance matters including equity joint ventures and wholly foreign-owned enterprises, as well as on other related corporate regulation and employment matters.

Edison is also experienced in corporate finance. He advises both private equity funds and target companies in private equity financing, and provides legal assistance during transactions and closings of transactions including conducting due diligence investigations of target companies and properties, and drafting due diligence reports. He has worked on numerous IPOs for mainland China companies in the media, Internet, manufacturing and real estate industries on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Edison passed the People’s Republic of China Bar Examination in 2007.
