Jonathan Bradshaw

Associate

Jonathan joined the pensions practice in Birmingham in 2008 having completed his training with the firm.

He currently advises trustees and sponsors on all aspects of occupational pension plan management including governance, legislative compliance, plan documentation, member queries and benefit change projects.   

In addition to his advisory work, Jonathan is heavily involved in the practice's independent trustee work, where he actively assists in providing independent trustee services to a wide range of defined benefit pension plans.  

Jonathan is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.

Representative Experience

    • Advising Trustees on the buy-out of their pension plans.
    • Advising numerous pension plans regarding winding-up and their position in relation to the Financial Assistance Scheme or the Pension Protection Fund.
    • Advising the Trustees of a number of pension plans in relation to investment management agreements.
    • Drafting consolidated definitive trust deed and rules, including for a large global logistics firm’s pension plan.
    • Advising on the merger of two pension plans.
    • Advising a number of pensions plans in relation to closure to future accrual, from both a Trustee and Company perspective.
