John Lazzaretti focuses his practice on all aspects of environmental law, with an emphasis on complex environmental litigation including class actions and mass tort claims.
John’s experience includes participating in the defense of industrial defendants against claims arising under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as well as state environmental statutes and state law claims of negligence and nuisance.
John’s practice also involves counseling clients on statutory and regulatory compliance including issues arising under new source review, maximum achievable control technology standards, redevelopment of contaminated property and underground storage tank regulations.
While attending law school, John served as a judicial extern for The Honorable Peter C. Economus, United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and was also a member of the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Team.
John is a member of the American, Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
