Judit Kelemen’s practice is primarily focused on dispute resolution, including litigation, international and domestic arbitration. She also has broad experience in general corporate law and related commercial, competition and business matters. Judit was named in the 2012 edition of
Legal Experts Europe, Middle East & Africa and as a dispute resolution practice area expert in
European Legal Experts 2009.
Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Judit spent six years in Budapest in the Central District Court, where for three years she worked as a candidate judge. She obtained significant experience in various fields such as civil, criminal, administration and labor law.
In 1994, Judit started working as a commercial law judge, dealing mainly with legal disputes between economic associations arising out of contracts and compensation of damages.
Judit gained legislative experience serving as the ministerial counselor of the Minister of the Interior from 1997 to 1998. She participated in the preparatory work of several bills and decrees initiated by the Ministry of the Interior and commented on decrees and proposals of other ministries and the government.
Judit joined Squire Sanders in 2000 and represents our clients in their legal disputes before ordinary and arbitration courts.
She is a member of the Budapest Bar Association.
