Jessica Goodman’s practice focuses on financial litigation that includes hire purchase disputes, sale of goods disputes, vehicle litigation, and consumer credit litigation, as well as general commercial disputes.
She has acted for banks, building societies and brokers, as well as carried out training events for car companies on consumer law issues. She has also been seconded to one of the UK’s biggest lenders in its secured lending department.
In addition, Jessica has experience dealing with cross-border disputes, including international dispute resolution, as well as cross border arbitration, specifically in the commodity sector. She has acted on a range of arbitrations and dealt with a range of institutions including FOSFA and GAFTA.

- Advising brokers on defending actions for misselling of payment protection insurance.
- Advising banks and building societies on claims for misrepresentation related to payment protection insurance and related issues.
- Advising banks on having their assets returned when a customer defaults.
- Advising banks on enforcing actions in order to secure assets.
- Carrying out training for a car company on consumer law issues.
- Advising a large commodity company on a number of high worth arbitrations.
