Jeremy is an associate in our Financial Services Group based in our Leeds office. He acts for a broad range of clients including banks, building societies, investment funds and major corporates on a variety of different financial services, pension schemes and treasury transactions. Jeremy's experience includes a secondment to Drax Power working on a variety of derivatives transactions including paper coal, electricity, carbon emission allowances and gas trading under EFET, GTMA, IETA and CPMA documentation.

Representative Experience

• Secondment to The Norinchukin Bank, London Branch as the sole legal counsel advising the bank’s treasury and general finance functions
• Advising a number of building societies on their treasury documentation including repos, interest rate and FX hedging and post-merger issues
• Advising banks, corporates, pension schemes and mutuals on their treasury transactions
• Advising financial institutions in relation to BIPRU 12 netting opinions for FSA purposes
• Drafting and revising compliance manuals and procedures
• Advising in relation to FSA change of control procedures
