Jasvir Kaur

Jasvir Kaur has practised employment law for 9 years and has a wide range of experience of dealing with both contentious and non contentious employment matters. Her work involves advising both private and public sector clients in all aspects of employment law.

Jasvir joined the firm after completing her commercial pupillage in London as a qualified barrister. Given her advocacy background, she has regularly represented clients in Tribunal.

Jasvir defended a multi party action (involving approximately 60 Claimants) against a large global manufacturing client involving complex collective consultation redundancy matters. She has also acted for various public sector clients defending sensitive discrimination claims including age, sex, disability and race discrimination.

Jasvir frequently advises on TUPE transactions both in the private and public sector which vary from business purchases to service change provisions. She has advised on a variety of transactions such as outsourcing services, changing contractors and in-sourcing.

Jasvir has also advised on:

• injunctive proceedings,
• use of fixed term contracts/contracts of employment,
• employment policies and procedures such as sick absence management and performance,
• redundancy/re-organisation programmes,
• flexible working requests,
• agency workers,
• changing terms and conditions,
• equal pay issues
• disciplinaries and grievances.

Jasvir is also Head of Diversity and she is responsible for driving the firm’s diversity agenda which includes promoting equality and diversity within the firm, ensuring fair practices are implemented. The firm has been awarded Sateo Equality Accreditation for the second year and Investors in People Accreditation.
